Female health officer committed suicide, these people may get trapped

Khairagarh. A heartbreaking incident has come to light from the district, which has exposed the cruel truth of the health system. Aarti Yadav, a female health officer (CHO) posted at Ayushman Arogya Mandir Jangalpur in Chhuikhadan, committed suicide after being fed up with the harassment of departmental officers. She committed suicide by hanging herself in her house in Dhanora, Durg district on May 15. The Chhattisgarh State Community Health Cell has held the departmental officers responsible for this incident.

According to the information, Aarti Yadav was posted as CHO under contract in the Community Health Center (Ayushman Arogya Mandir). A month ago, Aarti’s husband died in a road accident, due to which she was very hurt.

After losing her husband in an accident, she pleaded for leave, but the departmental officer turned her down. Aarti was not going to the health center due to personal problems. In such a situation, the departmental officers complained to the government and administration about her absence. After this, a letter was issued from the CMHO office for immediate attendance in service. A warning was also given to cut the salary of CHO in case of absence from work and he was also instructed to spoil his CR.
