Hyderabad: Woman tries to commit suicide by poisoning her four-year-old daughter

Hyderabad: In a murder-suicide incident, a woman tried to commit suicide by consuming a poisonous substance and also made her four-year-old daughter drink it in Bachupally. The girl died during treatment on Sunday, while the woman is battling for life in the hospital. According to information received, the woman has been identified as Namboodiri Krishna Pavani (32), who lives with her husband Sambasiva Rao and daughter Jesvika (4) in an apartment in Aditya Garden in Bachupally. Krishna Pavani was facing health issues for the last few years. Though she was undergoing treatment, there was no improvement in her condition.

Upset by this, she decided to take her own life. She mixed poisonous substance in a soft drink and drank it on April 18 and also made her daughter drink it. Following which the mother and daughter fell ill. Krishna Pavani, who was scared of her husband, informed him about it the next day. Sambasiva Rao immediately informed the Bachupally police and admitted her to a private hospital in KPHB colony for treatment. While undergoing treatment in the ICU emergency ward of the hospital, Jesvika’s condition deteriorated and she was admitted to another private hospital on Sunday morning, where she died during treatment. The Bachupally police have registered a case and are investigating.
