IPS Amresh Mishra gets relief from Congress leader’s allegation, complaint dismissed

Raipur. EOW-ACB chief Amresh Mishra and two other officers have received relief from the district court. The court has dismissed the complaint filed against them.

State Congress Vice President Girish Dewangan had filed a complaint against EOW-ACB chief Amresh Mishra, ASP Chandresh Thakur, and DSP Rahul Sharma in the coal scam case. The complaint alleged that EOW-ACB officers had tampered with Section 164 statements. The court had issued notices to the three officers in the case.

Advocate Ravi Sharma, representing the three officers, objected to the complaint, arguing that it was a matter of jurisdiction and the court could not accept the complaint for hearing at any level. First Class Judicial Magistrate Akanksha Beg reserved her decision after hearing all parties. On Wednesday, the court dismissed the complaint.
