Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are different only for the Centre: TVK chief Vijay

Actor and TVK chief Vijay said that Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are different only for the central government, but we are all together. He was addressing an election rally in Uppalam, Puducherry. In this first public meeting held after the Karur stampede, he severely criticized the DMK government in Tamil Nadu.
Vijay said that it is his responsibility to support Puducherry. He appreciated that the government there led by CM Rangasamy is not like the DMK government and is dealing impartially with the opposition parties. He said that even if we are an opponent, the Rangasamy government has provided security for the rally organized by our party when we asked for it. He suggested that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin should learn from the Puducherry government about state governance.
But he (Stalin) will never learn, Vijay said. He said that the people will teach the DMK a suitable lesson in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections to be held next year. Recalling the association of former CM and late MG Ramachandran with Puducherry, he reiterated that Puducherry should be given full statehood. He criticized that the Puducherry Assembly has introduced 16 resolutions for many years demanding statehood, but the Center has not heeded it.
