100 million eggs were kept in cold storage, know why and where?

Raipur. Sawan has taken a big toll on the poultry farm business. 70 lakh eggs are produced daily in our state, but at this time due to half the consumption, eggs have to be kept in cold storage just like during the Corona period. About ten crore eggs have been kept in cold storage in a month.

There is still one more month of monsoon, in such a situation about ten crore more eggs will have to be kept in cold storage. The price of eggs has also come down. At the same time, with the consumption of chicken being halved, its price has come down by 40 per cent. Poultry business slows down every year in Sawan, but this time due to Sawan being of two months, the back of this business has been broken. Chhattisgarh is one of the states in the country where eggs are produced in large numbers. Its production cannot even be stopped, which is why businessmen are in trouble.

The production of eggs in our state is about 70 lakhs daily. Out of this, 50 per cent is consumed within the state, while the remaining 50 per cent goes to other states, but due to monsoon, the daily consumption has come down to less than 35 lakhs since last one month. While 50 percent of the eggs are going to outside states, the rest is being consumed in 10 states. Heavy reduction in price Eggs had skyrocketed this summer.
