101 health workers resigned, protesting against government action
Ambikapur: 101 doctors and health workers who are on indefinite strike have collectively submitted their resignation to the Ambikapur Medical College Management. The management has not accepted the resignation letter citing the rules.
Contract doctors and nursing staff in Chhattisgarh are on an indefinite strike from 21 August. Due to the strike of doctors and medical staff, the medical college hospital as well as the health system of the district has gone awry. The government had given 48 hours to the striking employees to return to work along with implementing ESMA on September 1, but after this warning, they got agitated and resigned en masse.
The striking doctors and nursing staff say that they served the public during the Corona period and now the government is taking action against the peaceful movement of front line workers. In protest against this action of the government, 101 doctors and health workers of the Medical College Hospital have collectively submitted their resignations to the hospital superintendent.
