11 people dead, horrific scene of arson in America

The fierce fire has destroyed thousands of houses in the posh areas of Los Angeles and has spread to Hollywood Hills.
Describing this terrible disaster, Los Angeles County Sheriff (police officer) Robert Luna told the media, ‘About 10,000 houses and other structures have been damaged, the situation is as if someone has dropped a nuclear bomb in those areas.’ He feared that the number of deaths may increase and said that good news is not expected at the moment. According to the California Department of Forest and Fire Protection, 6 percent of the fire in the Palisades area has been brought under control, although the fire in Eaton is still out of control.
In Kenneth, the forest fire has affected about 960 acres of land in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Firefighters have brought the fire under control in 35 percent of the area. Fire officials in Hurst and Lydia reported progress in controlling the fire that has engulfed a combined 1200 acres. While 37 percent of the fire has been brought under control in Hurst, the figure in Lydia is 75 percent. Winds blowing at a speed of 160 km per hour in Los Angeles made the situation even more uncontrollable. When the wind speed slowed down a bit, the rescue team was able to drop water from helicopters to extinguish the fire.
