1,138 people join United People’s Party Liberal in Kumarikata in Tamulpur district
Kokrajhar: A total of 1138 new members from various political parties and social organisations, including BPF and Congress, have joined the ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) at a public meeting and grand function held at Kumarikata under Darrangjuli Block Committee. The new members were warmly welcomed and felicitated by Party President and Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro, Cabinet Minister, Urkhao Gwara Brahma, BTR Executive Member, Ranjit Basumatary and MLA Jolen Demri. Notably, the people of Bodoland Territorial Area have chosen peace, the people of BTR have chosen United People’s Party Liberal, and accordingly, people are coming forward to join the UPPL party across the region, he said.
BTC CEM Pramod Boro said that the UPPL party is gaining momentum among the communities as the UPPL-led UPPL-BJP-GSP coalition government in BTR has been dedicatedly working for the welfare and upliftment of the citizens since its inception. . He said that the Bodoland region has witnessed peace among the communities followed by sustainable development.
He said that the BTR government has initiated various developmental programs which are benefiting the general public in the entire Bodoland region.
He said that the BTR government is committed to work for the all-round development of the citizens in the coming days.
Boro welcomed the new members joining the UPPL family and expressed hope that the coming days will usher in greater unity and integrity for the UPPL party.
