Important initiatives towards environmental protection
Raipur. Taking a positive initiative towards environmental protection and green Chhattisgarh, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted a coconut sapling in the Central Park located in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam further strengthened the resolve to increase greenery by planting coconut saplings.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on this occasion that trees are the basis of life. He called upon the citizens to plant as many trees as possible and make environmental protection a mass movement. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the state government is committed to increasing the green cover in Chhattisgarh and is taking tree plantation forward as a public participation campaign. On this occasion, Agriculture Production Commissioner Shehla Nigar, Agriculture Director Rahul Dev, Horticulture Director S. Jagdishan and other dignitaries were present.
