18 miscreants arrested in Durg, were roaming around with weapons

Durg. Police is keeping a special watch on habitual criminals and people with criminal tendencies in the district. Action has been taken against 18 criminals under the restrictive Arms Act for keeping banned weapons at public places.

On the instructions of SP Vijay Agarwal, a joint team formed at ACCU police station identified the habitual criminals who used to assault with weapons and conducted a search and intensive investigation campaign. Taking effective action against the accused, during the investigation some of the accused were surrounded and caught with banned weapons on the spot. The accused who were caught after being surrounded on the spot.

Cases under Arms Act were registered against 7 persons in several police stations for keeping sharp weapons and restrictive action was taken against 11 persons in Mohan Nagar police station.
