19 thousand people infected with eye flu, health department on alert mode

Raipur. An alert has been issued regarding conjunctivitis in the state. 19 thousand 155 patients of conjunctivitis have appeared in the state during the week. The health department has issued a new guideline for cataract in all medical colleges and district hospitals of the state. Instructions have been issued to check the eyes of the doctors and paramedical staff of the eye department.

Let us tell you that since last week, patients of conjunctivitis are coming in the state. This infection is spreading rapidly among people. Its cases have come to the fore in many districts of the state including Raipur. Apart from this, this infection is spreading rapidly in schools as well. In view of this, the school management has discharged the children who have its symptoms.

Let us tell you that on July 23, about 17 children of United Eklavya Adarsh Residential School under Daundi tribal development block of Balod have become victims of conjunctivitis infection. All have been treated at the Community Health Center, Daundi and kept in a separate camp inside the campus.
