2 bogies of goods train damaged in plant, major accident due to fall of conveyor belt

Balod: A major accident took place at Dalli plant in the district. In Dalli Mines, conveyor belts 16 and 17 collapsed due to overloading. Due to which the goods train standing on the track below has suffered huge damage. It is a matter of relief that no one was injured in the accident. At present, production at the plant is at a standstill. The matter is of Dallirajhara police station area.

Conveyor belts 16 and 17 passing over the railway track at Dalli Plant suddenly broke. Which fell on the goods train standing there. Two bogies of the goods train have been damaged in the accident. However, there was no person standing there at the time of the incident, hence there was no loss of life. The workers working in the plant got scared by the sound like explosion.

The production of Dalli plant has completely stopped. The cause of the incident is said to be the dilapidated conveyor belt. Excessive weight of spillage material can also be a reason for an accident. There was excessive accumulation of spillage material around the conveyor belt. Which had not been cleaned for a long time. Due to which the old and dilapidated belt could not bear the weight of several tons of goods deposited on top and this part broke and fell. There was a goods train parked below, which got hit by it.
