2 drug smugglers arrested from Jalandhar
Hamirpur. Hamirpur police has arrested 2 drug smugglers from Jalandhar. Police, on the basis of backwork linkage under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 21 of the NDPS Act, arrested Amanpreet alias Aman Pavlo son of Bachiyar Singh resident of house number 1701 ward number 06 Sundernagar Nakodar district Jalandhar and Karam Pal Singh alias Kamma son of Chatar Singh resident of village Dhandowal police station Nakodar district Jalandhar has been arrested. Out of these, accused Amanpreet runs Jeevan Jot Drug Counseling and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Bhanjal Post Office Sunkali Tehsil Ghanari village of Una district and under the guise of this center he was doing drug business in Hamirpur district and other districts of the state.
According to sources, both these accused have been associated with this black business of chitta for a long time. Their network is spread in the entire state including Hamirpur district. Let us tell you that after the death of a student Sujal due to drug overdose in NIT Hamirpur about 3 weeks ago, the police, taking the matter seriously, have so far arrested about half a dozen people who were involved in this business in the district. After the arrest of the two main suppliers of the district, Ankush Sharma and Ravi Chopra, the police has achieved significant success in reaching these main suppliers. However, it is also being speculated that more arrests are possible in this case. At present, the police want to take this matter seriously and reach a conclusion by combining all the links. SP Hamirpur Dr. Aakriti Sharma said that both the accused have been arrested from Jalandhar.
