2 killed, 4 injured in road accident on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway
Bengaluru: At least two people were killed and four others injured when a car collided with a truck on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway on Saturday.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Rajesh (42) and Uma (35), while the condition of one of the injured is said to be critical.
There were seven people in the car. They were taking a sick woman to the hospital.
Police said the accident occurred when the vehicle was trying to overtake the truck.
The driver of the car lost control while overtaking near Kempegowdanadoddi in Ramanagara taluk and collided with the truck from behind.
Due to the strong collision, the car was blown to pieces.
The injured have been admitted to Ramanagara Hospital.
Ramnagar traffic police is investigating the matter.(IANS)
