20 students injured as picnic bus rams into wheat-laden truck in Subarnapur

Sonepur: As many 20 students sustained injuries as picnic bus rammed into a stationary wheat-laden truck near Salepali Ricemill in Dungripalli block of Subarnapur district.

The injured students were from Sohela Gyan Higher Secondary school and had gone to Patali Srikhetra in Subarnapur for picnic.

As per sources, the picnic bus carrying more than 50 students was enroute Sohela when the speeding bus rammed into the stationary wheat-laden truck due to dense fog and poor visibility. Following which 20 students were injured.

The locals spotted the accident and alerted the fire services personnel. On being informed, the ambulance and fire tenders reached the spot and recovered the injured students and rushed them to the Dungripali Government hospital for medical aid.

On being informed, the Dungripali police reached the site and initiated an investigation.
