2024 parliamentary elections: Bharatiya Janata Party launches farm protests

The BJP has decided to raise the issues of farmers to reach out to the rural population of Bengal ahead of the 2024 parliamentary elections.

As a first step, the BJP’s farmers wing, Kisan Morcha, will organize protests in front of the offices of sub-divisional officers across the state from Monday to highlight the problems of farmers in Bengal.

“This state government has always claimed to represent farmers. But even after coming to power for the third consecutive time, farmers are helpless
For immediate sale of their products. The Kisan Morcha will launch an agitation from Monday to protest against the plight of farmers in the state,” said Bengal BJP chief spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya.

The party has also started other programs including holding meetings with farmers in the districts to increase the membership of the farmers wing.

A senior leader of Kisan Morcha said that a delegation of farmers met Governor C.V. Will get it from. Anand Bose will raise the issues of the farming community on Wednesday.
