2196 liters of ghee seized from private bus
Jaisalmer. Sangad police station of Jaisalmer has seized ghee being supplied in private passenger buses in Sangad police station area during the blockade. The food safety team has also taken samples of ghee. It is noteworthy that in view of the assembly elections, the police team under the leadership of Sangad police station officer Manak Ram Bishnoi is continuously checking suspicious vehicles during the blockade. During this, on Saturday evening, a bus going from Barmer to Ganganagar was stopped and searched. About 140 cartoons of ghee were found in it.
After that the food safety team Jaisalmer was informed by the police team. As soon as the information was received, under the direction of Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. BL Bunkar, Jaisalmer Food Safety Officer Kishnaram Kadwasara along with the team reached the spot and on suspicion of non-standard ghee, two brands of Cow Ghee Shri Kathiawadi and Vraj Matuki were sampled under the FSS Act. And the remaining quantity of 2196 liters of ghee was seized in the police station premises. Food Safety Officer Kishnaram Kadwasra said that the samples taken will be sent to Jodhpur Public Health Laboratory and after the report comes, legal action will be taken as per rules.
