250 routes of HRTC affected due to snowfall
Shimla. Due to rain and snowfall in the state, bus services of Himachal Road Transport Corporation are still affected on about 250 routes. Apart from this, around 50 buses are stuck in snowfall. The routes of Upper Shimla have been affected the most due to snowfall.
Along with opening the roads closed due to snowfall in the state, the routes of Himachal Road Transport buses are being restored. According to Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, maximum number of buses are stuck in Upper Shimla. There are many buses which are stuck in half the routes.
Apart from HRTC, private buses are also not running on their routes due to snowfall. Bus services have been affected on many routes in the state’s Chamba, Pangi, Bharmour, Keylong, Rohtang, Manali, Shimla and Kinnaur.
Most of the routes of Shimla division of HRTC have been suspended and closed. The snowfall and rain that occurred since last Thursday night continues in the state. Due to rain and snowfall in most areas of the state, vehicular movement has come to a standstill.
