3 accused arrested for gambling with stiger goti
Raigarh. Kotrarod police has arrested three accused playing gambling with stagger goti near Jindal parking Patrapali. The police team had received secret information that some people are operating gambling with stagger goti there, on the basis of which action was taken by cordoning off the area.
When the team of sub-inspector J. Ekka, assistant Kusum Kevart and constables Chandresh Pandey and Ghanshyam Sidar of Kotrarod police station reached the spot during patrolling, three people were found gambling. The arrested accused include Deepak Sonwani (34) resident of Maudhapara, Vicky alias Vikas Bharti (35) resident of Sangi Tarai, and Bunty alias Mo. Aziz (40) resident of Pragatinagar. Police recovered six pieces of stagger goti and Rs 1,620 cash from their possession.
The police have taken action by registering a case against the accused under Section 6 of the Gambling Prohibition Act. Kotra Road police station has taken a tough stand and said that gambling and illegal activities are being closely monitored in the area, and strict action will continue against those involved in such illegal activities.
