3 cunning cattle thieves arrested, it is a gang, police recovered two stolen buffaloes
Saharanpur: Police in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have recovered two stolen buffaloes. Two buffaloes and a bull were stolen in different areas of the district. Police have recovered the animals and arrested three members of the smuggler gang. After recovering these buffaloes, they have been brought to the police station.
The police officer said that two cases of cattle theft were registered in Fatehpur police station of Saharanpur on 20 and 22 August. Three police teams were deployed to reveal this case. On August 25, three accused have been arrested while revealing both the cases. These accused told that they have a gang of six people, which steals cattle. The search for the remaining accused is on, they will also be arrested soon.
This is not the first case of buffalo theft in UP. Earlier, seven buffaloes of Azam Khan, who was a cabinet minister in the UP government, were stolen, which made headlines across the country because not only policemen but also magistrates, tehsildars and lekhpals were engaged in searching for his buffaloes and the crime branch was also deployed in it. The then SP of Rampur herself was leading this search operation. Finally, Azam Khan’s buffaloes were found.
After Azam Khan, in the year 2017, two buffaloes of BJP MLA from Hargaon in Sitapur and currently minister Suresh Rahi also went missing, in search of which police teams conducted a search operation for several days and later they were recovered. Suresh Rahi is currently the Minister of State for Prisons in UP.
