35 people injured, two drivers critical in collision between KSRTC bus and TN state bus on Marthandam flyover
Marthandam: In a fatal accident, two buses collided with each other on a steel flyover bridge in Marthandam town. A KSRTC bus and another TN government bus collided with each other, resulting in injuries to 35 people.
The drivers of both the buses suffered serious injuries in the accident. All the injured passengers have been shifted to nearby hospitals. KSRTC bus was running service between Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram.
On the narrow bridge, the KSRTC bus tried to overtake a lorry and lost control resulting in a fatal accident. The condition of KSRTC bus driver Anish Krishna remains critical in Nagercoil hospital. All other injured passengers were taken to nearby hospitals.
