4 accused arrested with 34 kg ganja

Jagdalpur. Police station of Bastar district received information from the informer that four persons were going from Orissa towards Raipur village Deurgaon Chowk carrying illegal drug ganja. On receiving the information on Wednesday morning, the police reached Deurgaon Chowk along with our officials and searched the accused Dharmendra Sahni, Ravi Kumar Sahni, Manish Kumar Chaudhary and Sanjay Sahni. A total of 34.8 thousand kg of intoxicant ganja was seized from the accused.

Since the act of the accused, namely seizure of illegally obtained ganja, was considered an offense under Section 20(b) of the NDPS Act, all the four accused were arrested, case registered and after completion, they were Took on remand. The investigation was sent to judicial custody today.
