4 vicious accused selling fake goods of Tata company arrested
Etawah. Etawah Police of UP has achieved a big success. The police, along with the team of the fertilizer department, have arrested such accused who were trying to spoil the health of the people by selling fake goods. Police recovered fake salt, tea and other items named TATA from the arrested accused. Police are continuously taking action against fake food items in the district. Something similar was seen in the Kotwali area. Where the fertilizer material was being checked by the Kotwali police and the team of the fertilizer department. The team received information that some people were selling fake salt, tea and other goods of Tata company. After which the team reached the spot and arrested four accused from the spot.
From whom the police team seized 13 boxes (650 packets) of TATA consumer products, 515 empty wrappers of TATA salt, 1210 pieces of fresh tea empty wrappers, 35 packets of 250 grams of fresh tea, 360 packets of 15 grams of tea, 166 packets of banned cigarettes ( Black and Gold Flakes), 40 packets of MS BD and Rs 12385 in cash recovered. When the police team interrogated the four accused caught by the Kotwali police and the Food Department team, they told that they had been selling fake salt for a long time by keeping it in wrappers of Tata company. Along with this, the accused were selling fake tea in wrappers of Tata company. The accused told that he had been selling counterfeit goods for a long time, which was earning him huge profits. Out of the arrested accused, three accused are residents of Etawah district while one accused is a resident of West Bengal. The police team is now trying to find out how many more people have been found with them and where they are selling counterfeit goods.
