40-member delegation from Bhutan visit KIIT and KISS under the IndiaTrek initiative

Bhubaneswar: A 40-member delegation from Bhutan visited the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) under the IndiaTrek initiative.

The 40 teachers and monks from primary to higher education institutions, from the Department of School Education, Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan, who came on a 10-day exchange programme, also visited various historical places including the Buddhist triangle of Odisha – Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri, Udayagiri.

On this occasion, a comprehensive discussion on spirituality was held between the Bhutanese delegation and KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta in a spiritual education session today.

During the discussion, Samanta explained to them about education and culture, karma and the ‘Art of Giving’ etc. he said that education along with culture is absolutely indispensable in this era. He said that the ‘Art of Giving’ is a philosophy of life. There is joy in giving. Therefore, he said that life is happy when you can help others in any way.

Through this IndiaTrek initiative, the Buddhist teachers will strengthen their skills in integrating traditional knowledge with contemporary educational practices.

The Bhutan delegation expressed their commitment to fostering a value-based, compassionate and holistic learning environment for Bhutan’s future generations. Bhutan has welcomed KIIT and KISS as its partners for this program. It is an effort to integrate value-based education, humanitarian service, cultural and spiritual knowledge with modern pedagogy.

The delegation expressed satisfaction for the spiritual knowledge they acquired at KIIT and KISS and during interaction with Achyuta Samanta.
