5 foot long cobra, 17 snake eggs rescued in Odisha’s Ganjam

Hinjilicut: A 5 foot long venomous cobra snake and 17 snake eggs were rescued in Ganjam district of Odisha on Thursday. The snake and egg were rescued from the back yard of a house near Shyamalai Chhaka on the outskirts of Hinjilicut town.

As per reports, the family members of Kahnu Charan Patra in Shyamalai Chhaka, near Hinjilicut town in Ganjam district, saw the snake in their backyard and promptly informed the Snake Help Line to rescue.

Upon getting information, the Snake Help Line members reached the spot and found the snake and its eggs inside the bark of a jam tree in that garden.

The snake helpline members then rescued the cobra and the 17 cobra eggs and handed it over to the forest office in Berhampur.
