10 Assistant Commissioners of Police and 7 Inspectors have been transferred.

Tamil Nadu: Ten Assistant Commissioners of Police and seven Police Inspectors have been transferred in the Chennai Police Department.
Transfers of officers in the Chennai Metropolitan Police Department are carried out periodically for administrative convenience, discretion, and due to disciplinary issues. As part of this process, Police Commissioner A. Arun issued orders on Friday for the transfer of 10 Assistant Commissioners of Police.
Among them, Assistant Commissioner Dakshinamurthy of Florist, Assistant Commissioner R.D. Ramanandan of Thirumangalam, and Assistant Commissioner Ramesh Babu of Chennai Traffic Investigation Division South have been transferred to Veppery, Royapuram, and Pulianthope respectively.
Similarly, seven Police Inspectors have also been transferred. The most notable among them is Inspector N. Selvin Shanthakumar, who was on the waiting list and has been transferred to the Ekkuvari Police Station. V. Sumathi has been transferred to the MKB Nagar All Women Police Station, and S. Ambu Karasan has been transferred to the Serious Crime Unit.
The police department stated that the transferred Assistant Commissioners and Inspectors will assume their new responsibilities within a day or two.
