5T Chairman VK Pandian reviews Srimandir Parikrama project, orders to complete work by Dec 15
Puri: 5T and Nabeen Odisha president VK Pandian on Saturday reviewed the Srimandir Parikrama project in Puri and directed officials to complete the work by December 15.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Pandian visited the holy city early Saturday and reviewed the progress of the Parikrama project in the presence of Puri Collector, SP and senior officials of the executing agencies.
This was Pandian’s first review after taking charge as chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha.
Pandian also ordered to expedite the restoration work of various monasteries in Tirthanagari. He suggested planting various trees and shrubs related to Jagannath culture in the landscaping work of the Parikrama project. He also reviewed the work of the four doors of the shrine.
Pandian directed to make adequate arrangements for parking of two-wheelers for the convenience of the local people. Further, he stressed on shifting of various utilities from ‘Meghnad Ramparts’ and completing the electrical work within the stipulated time.
Pandian reviewed the progress of Jagannath Ballav parking works, development of various facilities for passengers, Pramod Udyan and Shri Setu work and directed to complete the work on time. He also suggested to employ more people for this project.
