6 cities of Gujarat state will become smart cities, Center gave grant of crores
Ahmedabad in Gujarat is known as Smart City. But now 6 cities of the state have been selected under the Smart City Mission. The central government has selected Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Dahod as smart cities. A grant of Rs 2 thousand 326 crore has been allocated by the Central Government for this.
6 cities of the state got this much grant for development
The central government has allocated a grant of crores to the state government under the smart city project. In which a grant of 459.34 crore has been allocated to Ahmedabad, 315.305 crore to Gandhinagar, 386.76 crore to Rajkot, 490 crore to Surat, 293 crore to Dahod and 382 crore to Vadodara city.
These facilities will be available under smart city project
Smart city includes facilities like better healthcare system, governance, transportation system, security surveillance, smart infrastructure, employment opportunities. The Smart City project aims to reduce the increasing congestion and traffic in cities, ensure the safety of citizens and reduce pollution. Not only this, facilities will be developed to prevent road accidents and to make a separate path for cyclists.
