Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police on Wednesday arrested seven students of a private engineering college on Avinashi Road for ragging, shaving their heads, assaulting their junior in the hostel and stripping her while demanding money for drinking. Based on the complaint of the shocked parents of the 18-year-old boy, the Peelamedu police registered a case against the abusers under the Tamil Nadu Ragging Prohibition Act as well as a case of wrongful restraint, assault and threats.
