8 people including child burnt to death after SUV collides with truck
Eight people, including a child, were burnt to death when their SUV collided with an oncoming vehicle and caught fire in a district in Uttar Pradesh, according to police on Sunday. A horrific accident took place near Dubhaura village of Bhojipura area on Bareilly-Nainital road on Saturday night. The driver of the SUV may have lost control of the vehicle after the tire burst, causing it to cross a barrier on the opposite side of the road, where it collided with the vehicle. Upon reaching the area, police found the SUV on fire. Superintendent of Police Sushil Chandrabhan confirmed the tragic death of all eight people, including a child. According to the police report, the SUV belonged to Sumit Gupta, the hire owner who had hired Furkan. Asif, a customer at Narayan Nagla’s Villa, requested a vehicle for his nephew Furkan ahead of a wedding in Bareilly on Saturday morning. Eye examination revealed that the SUV lost control just a kilometer away from Bhojipur police station, causing damage to the four-lane divider due to its high speed. The vehicle moving towards Nainital collided with the window, causing fire. The victims have been identified as Furkan (40), Mohammad Ayyub (36), Babu Mansoori (8), Mohammad Aalim (22), Mohammad Ashiq Shamim (34), Mohammad Asif (22), Mohammad Arif (24) and Mohammad Shadab (19). , all residents of Baheri area. Sadly, the occupants inside the SUV were unable to escape as the doors did not open, possibly due to a central transmission system malfunction. We tried to break the glass as we passed by, but the intensity of the fire prevented any attempt to escape. Although some people brought equipment to extinguish the fire from a nearby petrol bomb, Bareilly fire brigade chief Chandra Mohan Sharma said the cause of the accident was currently uncertain. Possible factors including tire burst or driver losing control due to fatigue or intoxication will be clarified by the forensic team after the conclusion of the investigation. Minister-Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the victims of the tragic incident.
