88 educational institutions have been given minority status: CM

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin awarded Permanent Minority Status Certificates to 88 educational institutions working for the development of minorities in Tamil Nadu.
A press release issued by the Tamil Nadu government states: The government is continuously implementing various welfare schemes for the development, education, and economic growth of minority communities. As part of this initiative, government orders have been issued to grant special recognition and permanent religious minority certificates to educational institutions working for the development of minority communities.
Based on this, a study committee was formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. The committee is examining educational institutions’ applications for minority recognition and approval.
According to this, to date, 370 educational institutions have been granted Minority Status Certificates, 56 educational institutions have been granted Linguistic Minority Status Certificates, and 314 educational institutions have been granted Religious Minority Status Certificates.
Following this, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin recently awarded certificates of permanent minority status to 88 more educational institutions at an event held at the Chief Secretariat.
Minority Welfare Minister S.M. Nassar, State Minority Commission Chairman Joe Arun, Vice Chairman Iraiyanban Kuthus, Chief Secretary N. Muruganantham, Minority Welfare Secretary A. Saravanvelraj, and others attended the event.
