During this conversation, Alia shared an interesting story about her first meeting with Ranbir Kapoor, and revealed that they met each other when she was nine years old.
Alia took a trip down memory lane by remembering the time when she first met Ranbir Kapoor at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office. She said, “In fact, once when I was nine years old, my mother was ready for me to become a child artiste because of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who was making a film. And I went into his office and who was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali at that time? Ranbir.”
Adding a humorous touch, Alia said, “Obviously he was not an actor at that time so I didn’t even know, I wasn’t even looking at him, I was looking at SLB. I said, ‘This is the director, I am looking at him.’
In a delightful revelation, Alia further said, “There is a picture of us from that audition that I did for the film that we were supposed to do at that time which I still have.”
