36583 cases settled in Lok Adalat
Shimla. 36583 cases were settled in the National Lok Adalat in the state on Saturday. on Saturday in all the Courts of Himachal Pradesh for pre-litigation and pending matters, Justice MS Ramachandra Rao, Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court and Chief Patron, Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Judge, Himachal Pradesh High Court and Acting Chairman. Rashtriya Lok Adalat was organized under the guidance of Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.
District and Sessions Judge Member Secretary Virendra Sharma said that on the day of National Lok Adalat, online facility of payment of compounding fee through e-pay (e-court digital payment) in case of motor vehicle challan was also provided in the courts of Traffic Magistrate.
Went. He said that the public was made aware about Rashtriya Lok Adalat through messages, distribution of jingles and IEC material and through engagement of stakeholders from local bodies, NGOs, Panchayati Raj Institutions representatives, para legal volunteers, public transport services etc.
District and Sessions Judge Member Secretary Virendra Sharma said that 95355 cases were taken up before various benches for settlement in the National Lok Adalat, out of which 36583 cases were settled and an amount of approximately Rs 1066063958 was recovered from the claimants in the National Lok Adalat.
