Precious wood seized from pickup, suspicion of smuggling due to involvement of beat guard

Balrampur. Illegal felling of forest is going on indiscriminately in Wardhanagar Forest Range. Acting on the information of the informer, the Forest Department team has recovered a large consignment of timber.

According to the Forest Department, preparations were being made to send the consignment of seized wood to UP. Police have also seized the vehicle in which wood was loaded. Due to the laziness of the forest department, forest smugglers are continuously killing the lush green forests. Many times smugglers get caught by the Forest Department and sometimes they run away before they reach them. The Forest Department team has also been accused of colluding with smugglers.
