Raipur. Congress leader Mahant Ramsundar Das has resigned from the party. Saddened by the crushing defeat at the hands of BJP’s Brijmohan from Raipur South, he has resigned from the party. He has mentioned this in a letter addressed to Bastar MP and State President Deepak Baij.
As soon as the news of the resignation of Mahant Ram Sundar Das of Dudhadhari Math, taking responsibility for the election defeat, senior Congress leader Arun Vora met him in the capital Raipur and urged him not to resign from the Congress party.
Vora said he was shocked by the news of his resignation. He told Mahant Ram Sunder Das not to resign and remain in the Congress Party.
