One dead due to fire in CNG autorickshaw
Thrissur: One person died after a CNG-powered autorickshaw caught fire in Gandhinagar, Thrissur. Initial belief is that the dead man is Pramod of Meluvalappu of Peringavu. The body was found in the back seat. A massive fire broke out in an autorickshaw. The suspicion is that this is a case of suicide. Further details of the incident are not available.
The autorickshaw was completely gutted in the fire. The auto was standing on a deserted road. Police and fire brigade reached the spot and took further action. Last October, two people were killed when a CNG auto rickshaw caught fire after being hit by a bus. The driver and passenger in the auto died. The incident occurred at the sixth mile of Kannur Kuthuparamba. The deceased were Abhilash and Shijin of Kolavallur near Panoor.
