Kuzha Netho Ketshü & Phusachodu celebrate ‘100 years of friendship’

Phusachodu village and Kuzha Netho Kethsu consisting Leshemi, Lasumi and Zapami village under Phek district reaffirmed to uphold, preserve and promote the bond of friendship and oneness during its centenary celebration held at local ground Phusachodu village on December 15.

In a press release Centenary celebration organising committee informed that the, advisor for CAWD and Taxes Küdecho Khamo, who graced the event, emphasized on the need for Nagas to live together for peace and harmony. He urged the villagers to become the ambassadors of unity and peace, setting example for others to follow suit.

Appreciating the pioneers for their farsighted vision and diplomacy by bringing the villages together for peace and friendship, he observed that many parts of the world grapple with war, calamities, hunger and social unrest. “We are fortunate to have the blessings of unity, peace and social harmony bestowed upon us by the grace of God” said Khamo.

He further encouraged everyone to cherish, uphold, preserve and promote this valued friendship of the four villages.
Kewekhape Therie, ex-minister speaking on the occasion said the celebration marked a significant milestone commemorating a century of enduring peace and friendship established by the ancestors.
He hoped that the younger generation imbibes the message of peace, unity, and friendship through the celebration. “This legacy must be preserved and passed on for generations to come” he said.

Therie also appreciated the wisdom of ancestors for establishing peace and friendship that has lived 100 years today.
The program was chaired Murohu Chotso, Rtd, NCS, invocation by Rev. Dr. Dingu Kenye, Lasumi Baptist Church, welcome address by VCC Phusachodu village, Vehupa Rose, releasing of souvenir by Hütsonyi Chuzho, Rtd. PA to to DC, short speeches by Senowekha K Kenye, Rtd Director, Mikha Lomi, Rtd NCS, Dr Chotisuh Sazo, ex-speaker, NLA, closing prayer by Rev Dr. Chekrovei Cho-o, executive secretary, CBCC.

Meanwhile, a monolith was erected marking the occasion which read “We Kuzha Netho Ketshü & Phusachodu celebrated the 100 years of peace and friendship and hereby solemnly reaffirm to uphold, preserve and promote with boundless honour to commitment of the forefathers made a century ago”
