New Delhi: The Indian Navy rescues an injured crew member from a hijacked ship on December 18, 2023. He was shot in the firing by pirates. Information about this matter was given by ANI in an X post on Tuesday. According to reports, Indian Navy warship INS Kochi helped rescue a crew member from the hijacked ship MV Rouen, who was injured in the firing by pirates. The Indian Navy negotiated with the pirates and secured the release of the injured crew. The victim was provided first aid and later released to a port in Oman for specialist treatment by the Indian Navy. Reportedly, the hijacked ship had entered Somalia’s territorial waters.
