2 suspects are being interrogated in Labhandi shooting case, Telibandha police revealed
Raipur. Interrogation of two suspects is going on in the Labhandi shooting case. Police said that Arihant Chopra lodged a report in Telibandha police station that he lives in Balfort Ilclave B 02/407 Raipur and is a dry fruit trader. On 20/12/2023, the applicant was in his shop located at Shastri Market. Meanwhile, at around 11:20 am, the applicant’s maternal uncle Sandeep Jain called the applicant and informed that a person was near the old liquor shop near the turn of the road in front of the Labhandi Mode Thakur shop. He shot me near the chest with the intention of killing me. When the applicant went there, he saw that his uncle Sandeep Jain was injured and blood was flowing from his chest. He was standing with the support of a tree near Thakur’s shop. The applicant asked his maternal uncle Sandeep Jain who killed him, then Sandeep Jain pointed and told that the name of the person wearing a green shirt in the police vehicle number 112 is Aman Sharma, who was holding a gun on my chest with the intention of killing me. He was shot and killed. He told that he was going on his scooter when Aman Sharma stopped him by showing his hand and while arguing, shot him in the chest with a gun with the intention of killing him. Aman Sharma was caught on the spot and the injured Sandeep Jain was taken to the hospital for treatment. It was admitted that on the report of the applicant, crime number 788/23 section 307 IPC was registered against the accused in police station Telibandha. Offenses under 25, 27 Arms Act were registered.
On detailed interrogation of the accused Aman Sharma, who was caught on the spot, he told that he is originally a resident of district Sundergarh, Orissa. On 12.12.23, he came to Raipur carrying a pistol, country-made pistol and cartridges with him and chatted with Sandeep Jain through WhatsApp on his mobile phone and asked him to meet him and during this, accused Aman Sharma asked Sandeep Jain to meet him with his photo and residence details. After obtaining the address, recce of his house was done and on the date of incident 20.12.2023, accused Aman Sharma called Sandeep Jain to meet him through WhatsApp and committed the incident after reaching near the incident spot. Accused Aman Sharma was arrested and action was taken against the accused by seizing 01 pistol, 01 country made pistol and cartridges from his possession. During interrogation, accused Aman Sharma has told about 02 suspects, police have taken both the suspects into custody and are carrying out detailed interrogation in relation to the incident and police remand of accused Aman Sharma is being taken.
