Firing on villager for not withdrawing case in Dayalpur
Meerut. In Parikshitgarh police station area village Dayalpur, due to rivalry, powerful youths pressured a villager to withdraw an old case. They spread terror by firing several rounds at him while threatening him about not withdrawing the case. The villager somehow saved his life by running away. Bablu son Mansingh, resident of Parikshitgarh village Dayalpur, is a farmer. Bablu told in the application given to the SSP at the police office on Saturday that on December 12, Ravindra son of Shobharam, Dharmendra son of Shobharam, Badal alias Deepak son of Ravindra, residents of village Dayalpur, had beaten him up due to rivalry.
In which Parikshitgarh police station had registered a case against the three bullies on 16 December. The victim alleges that due to the same rivalry, the domineering villagers, Ravindra, Dharmendra, son of Shobharam and Badal alias Deepak, son of Ravindra, once again came to the farm on 22nd December at 6 o’clock and threatened to withdraw the case. When Bablu refused, all three fired several rounds at him. Somehow Bablu saved his life by running away from the firing. The attackers threatened during the firing that if the case was not withdrawn, they would be killed.
The bullies threatened and said that they had dominance in power. He is our minister and the police station cannot harm us. The victim villager reached the police office on Saturday and requested for security, demanding action from the SSP. The CO sitting at the police office has assured action against the attackers. It is alleged that many criminal cases are registered against Badal. He has fired in the village several times, but due to pressure from the Minister of Power, the police have adopted a lax attitude in arresting him.
