Actor arrested for molesting minor girl in hotel

Mumbai. An actor-producer from Gujarat has been arrested in Mumbai for allegedly molesting a minor girl by luring her with a role in a film. The police gave this information on Tuesday. The incident occurred late on Monday night, when the 17-year-old girl, hailing from Gujarat, was alone in a hotel room in the western suburbs. The accused knows the victim’s uncle.

She met him once in the hope of getting a break in films. The actor-producer allegedly molested her after finding her alone in an Andheri hotel room on Monday. Later the shocked girl approached D.N. Andheri West. Complaint lodged in city police station. A police team raided the hotel where the accused was staying and arrested him. According to officials, he has been charged under various sections of IPC and POCSO. Further investigation is ongoing.
