Baramulla: Lashkar’s ‘terrorist associate’ arrested
Srinagar: A ‘social terrorist’ of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has been arrested and arms and ammunition seized from him in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said on Thursday. A police officer said security forces set up a control post at Shrakwada Kreri after receiving information about terrorist activities in the Kreri area. During the control, security forces detected a person whose activities appeared suspicious. When security personnel approached him, he tried to run away but was arrested, the officer said. Police said that the person has been identified as Imran Ahmed Ghani, resident of Naupora Wagoora Creary. Officials said they seized a Chinese pistol, a pistol charger, new bullets and a mobile phone. It has been identified on the basis of law (prevention) of illegal activities.
