Woman, lover and two others sentenced to life imprisonment for murder of man
Ujjain: The court of 7th Additional Sessions Judge Shashikant Verma punished Ratan Singh (36), son of Siddhulal Chaudhary; Rachna (30) wife Tikam Singh Rajput resident of village Akasoda; Virendra (30), son of Ranjit Singh, resident of Nanded village; And Ishwar (25), son of Nagusingh Sondhiya, resident of village Khedapchaula, all the accused were punished with life imprisonment and fine under section 302,120-B of IPC.
District Prosecution Officer Rajendra Khandegar said that according to the prosecution’s story, the incident took place on August 8, 2020. When the police received information that a person named Tikam Singh had been murdered, they reached the spot and started investigation. Here the police was first informed that Tikam Singh had been murdered by unknown miscreants and they had stolen about Rs 35,000, a gold necklace, a pair of silver anklets and a motorcycle.
Later, the deceased’s brother and complainant Abhijeet Singh raised suspicion of the incident on Tikam Singh’s wife Rachna and his wife’s friend Ratan, with whom he was having an affair.
During investigation, it was revealed that there was a love affair between the deceased’s wife Rachna and his friend Ratan. There used to be a dispute between the deceased and his wife regarding this matter. For this reason, Rachna, along with her lover Ratan and two others Virendra and Ishwar, killed Tikam Singh by beating him with sticks in his own house. To show the robbery, gold and silver jewellery, cash and a motorcycle were taken from the house.
The investigation of the case was completed by SI Mahendra Makashre of Chintaman Ganesh police station. ADPO Nitesh Krishnan and Sandhya Solanki appeared for the prosecution in the case.
