Sugar loaded truck crashes, driver injured
Janjgir-Champa. A truck filled with sugar sacks overturned on the main road of Birra police station area of the district. The incident happened on Saturday morning. The truck driver has been injured in the accident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and admitted the injured driver to the hospital for treatment.
According to information received from Birra police station in-charge Krishna Pal Singh, the truck driver was carrying sugar from Birra main road, when between 7 and 7.30 in the morning he could not see the speed breaker due to dense fog. When he came closer and saw the speed breaker, he suddenly applied the brakes. Due to this, the driver lost control over the speeding truck. The truck overturned on the roadside. The sugar sacks loaded in the truck got scattered on the road. The Hanuman temple built on the roadside was also damaged. A crowd of people gathered at the spot. The truck driver was injured in the accident.
