Second theft in this house within 9 months, goods worth Rs 5 lakhs including cash crossed
Balodabazar. These days, terror of thieves is visible in the district headquarters area of Balodabazar district. Thieves have targeted the house of a family who had gone to visit Jagannath Puri. The thieves have absconded with the jewelery along with Rs 5 lakh in cash and CCTV DVR. Nine months ago also there had been a theft at the victim’s family’s house.
According to the information received, a theft worth more than five and a half lakhs took place in the house of Hiralal Aggarwal, resident of Samriddhi Colony, last night. The victim’s family had gone to Jagannath Puri for two days. Then the neighbor informed about the theft in the house. After this, when the family hurriedly returned, they found the lock of the house and the window rod broken. Then he informed the Kotwali police about the matter.
During the conversation, the victim’s family told that, after getting information from the neighbour, when we entered inside, the latch of the main door of the house was broken. On going inside the house, the lock of the cupboard was open and all the stuff was scattered. The applicant told the police that approximately Rs 5.50 lakh, including jewelery and cash kept in the cupboard, had been stolen.
