Oil tankers stopped in Kangra, left on assurance of DSP

Kangra. Late night in Kangra, about 7 tankers carrying petrol-diesel were stopped by some youths first at Bypass Road and then at Mataur Chowk. However, later on the assurance of DSP, he was sent away. DSP Kangra Ankit Sharma said that these tankers were going to Dharamshala, Palampur, Kangra and other places.

Later some youths again stopped some tankers around Mataur Chowk. Some people allege that the police lathi-charged on Bypass Kangra, but DSP Kangra Ankit Sharma rejected it outright and said that it is just a rumor from some mischievous elements.

DSP said that some people were drinking alcohol on Bypass Kangra. After about an hour of jam, tankers were sent from Mataur Chowk on the assurance of DSP that everyone would get oil.
