Sikkim: Chief Minister met Union Home Minister, raised pending demands of Sikkim
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang along with Sikkim Assembly Speaker Arun Upreti and Cabinet ministers Kunga Nima Lepcha, Sonam Lama, BS Panth, Mingma Norbu Sherpa and Bhim Hang Limbu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday at North Block, New Delhi. Delhi.
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang apprised him about the important issues of Sikkim regarding tribal status to 12 left out communities, reservation of seats for Limbu-Tamang community in the State Legislative Assembly and the visit of His Holiness Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje to Sikkim.
The Chief Minister requested the Government of India to quickly and promptly resolve these long pending issues.
The Union Home Minister listened patiently and assured that these issues of Sikkim would be considered favourably.
