8 gamblers arrested in Raipur, were gambling in the fields
Raipur. Kharora police has arrested 8 gamblers. The informer had informed the police that across the Patalu canal in village Dhaurabhatha, gamblers were playing gambling called ‘Katpatti’ by placing bets of Rs 52 patti per hour. In a raid, 08 gamblers were caught playing Katpatti gambling with 52 patti taas at the place told by Mubakhir.
61050 rupees in cash, 04 pieces of big plastic sack, 04 candles, 02 matchsticks, 52 Patti Tasu and 02 motor cycles were seized from the possession of the gamblers and 13 Gambling Act and Chhattisgarh Act were registered against the gamblers. The crime was registered under Section 03 (02) of the Gambling Prohibition Act 2022 and taken up for investigation.
