Director General Information and Chief Executive Officer Uttarakhand Film Development Council Banshidhar Tiwari launched the promo of Garhwali film “Padhani Ji” at Directorate General of Information, Dehradun on Friday. On this occasion, the Director General of Information said that the state government has brought two important policies for film shooting. In which the equipment and services used in the film industry have been included under the service sector policy. Whereas in the second policy, film city and industry based works have been included.
He said that in the new film policy, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken special care to encourage regional cinema. For this, a proposal has been made to increase the grant amount received by Garhwali and Kumaoni films. He said that the Film Development Council is trying to publish a directory of people associated with the film sector, such as producers-directors, artists, technicians and other service providers. On this occasion, Additional Director Information Ashish Kumar Tripathi and Joint Director/Nodal Officer, Uttarakhand Film Development Council Dr. Nitin Upadhyay, Proprietor of Maheshwari Films and Director of Padhani Ji Film Ashok Chauhan (Ashu) etc were present.
