Karimnagar: Garment shop owner attempts suicide in protest against the bar

Karimnagar: A clothing shop owner allegedly intended to commit suicide at the Collectorate here in protest against the opening of a bar near his shop.

Vengaldas Ashok, who runs a clothes shop in Gandhi Road, Karimnagar, had come to the Collectorate on Monday to represent himself before the officials of the public question program Prajavani.

By roasting them with gasoline and trying to catch fire. Personal police alerted him and reached the spot, foiled his attempt and took him into custody. He was shifted to the hospital.

Ashok said that despite his requests, the owners were not changing the bar. He said, if the bar was located next to his store, customers would not come to his store.
